Founder & Technical Lead
Junaid is a high school student and a Ḥāfiẓ of the Qur'ān, having completed his memorization at a young age. Drawing from his own Hifz journey, he founded Shams AI to give students, teachers, and institutions the kind of structured, data-driven support he wished existed during his own studies.
As Technical Lead, Junaid drives the platform's architecture, design, and engineering — balancing rigorous software craftsmanship with a deep concern for serving the Muslim community. His vision is to make Shams AI a trusted companion for every stage of Qur'ānic learning.

Mawlānā Haroon Ahmed
Product Manager
Shaykh Haroon Ahmed serves asHead of THIQA & Director of IQRA Academy at Islamic Foundation School, where he leads curriculum development, educator formation, and strategic initiatives in Islamic education. He also serves as Assistant to the President at Darul Qasim College, supporting Shaykh Amin Kholwadia in academic, educational, and institutional initiatives.
He served as Resident Scholar and Academic Supervisor at Masjid Uthman and Uthman Academy in Lombard, Illinois, and as an Imam in Bolingbrook, Illinois. Beyond his institutional roles, he advises Islamic schools, community organizations, and Muslim student organizations on educational strategy, curriculum design, leadership development, and youth engagement through IDEAL Advisory & Foundation. A certified instructor of the Basira Foundation’s Why Islam is True curriculum, he has also received specialized training in mental health first response and suicide prevention through the Khalil Center.
Drawing upon a background in Engineering, Agile & Scrum methodologies alongside years of experience in educational leadership and institutional development, Shaykh Haroon brings a unique combination of scholarly insight, strategic thinking, and organizational perspective to SHAMS AI. He is currently pursuing advanced post-ʿĀlimiyyah studies while preparing for doctoral research in Tawḥīdic Epistemology and Islamic educational philosophy.
